NFL Ducks
Thursday, Sept. 15, 4:45 p.m. PT

Now that the NFL season is officially underway and rosters have been more or less set, it's time to take stock of former Oregon football players suiting up on Sundays. Twenty-six UO alums are currently on NFL teams: 22 active, three on practice squads and one on injured reserved.

In terms of specific Oregon teams represented in the NFL, the 2007 squad leads the way with 18. That shouldn't come as too much of a surprise, considering that team was 8-1, ranked No. 2 in the country and poised for a BCS title game run before an absurd number of season-ending injuries finally took their toll (WR Brian Paysinger, WR Cameron Colvin, RB Jeremiah Johnson, QB Nate Costa, LB John Bacon, QB Dennis Dixon, QB Brady Leaf and LB Casey Matthews).

The 2008 Ducks are next with16 members in the NFL, followed by the '06 (14), '05 (11), '09 (10) and '04 (6) teams.
