EUGENE, Ore. -- Head coach George Horton and the University of Oregon baseball program have announced the 2013 schedule which features 29 home games to be played at PK Park in Eugene. Of Oregon’s 20 opponents, six advanced to postseason play a year ago.
Five of those six postseason teams will be coming to Eugene this year, a list that includes non-conference opponent Vanderbilt, in addition to Pac-12 Conference foes Arizona, UCLA, Stanford and Oregon State.
Oregon will have three-game home stands with Arizona and UCLA, who both advanced to the 2012 College World Series. The Wildcats are the defending national champion having defeated South Carolina in the final last year.
“Our 2013 schedule looks to be as challenging as ever,” Horton said. “We have scheduled some very formidable and traditional powers in our non-conference games, and as usual, the Pac 12 will be deep with nationally prominent baseball teams. It’s a schedule that will test us early and often.”
Beginning Thursday, Nov. 8, current season ticket holders can renew their ticket packages online at goducks.com. In addition, deposits are now being accepted for new season ticket orders for the 2013 season. For $50 per seat, a deposit can be made to secure the best seats in PK Park. All deposit orders will be allocated based on the date and time deposit orders are received.
Season ticket packages range from $150-$412. Limited quantities of covered chairback seats will be available, and season parking passes will also be on sale for $50, saving fans $37 over the course of the season. New in 2013, all covered chairback season-ticket holders will receive one complimentary season parking pass for the Autzen Stadium parking lot.
In all, the Ducks have 60 games on the 2013 schedule and they will face teams from six different conferences: Big 10, Big West, Pac-12, SEC, Western Athletic and West Coast.
In addition to the 29 home games on the schedule, the Ducks will remain in-state for a total of four other games. UO will face road games against rival Oregon State on April 9 and May 21. The Ducks will also play a pair of road games against the Portland Pilots on April 16 and April 23.
“With the players we have returning, and the newcomers we’ve added to the squad this offseason, we look forward to seeing how our team responds in playing such a challenging schedule,” Horton added.
