PERSONAL — Born Tyrell L. Irvin on January 1, 1988 in Aurora, Colo. Parents: Terry and Jennifer Irvin. Family: One brother. High School (Coach): Aurora (Tom Doherty) 2006. JC (Coach): Mt. San Antonio Community College (Robert Jastrab). Major: Art. Redshirt: 2008.

2010 — Special teams stalwart saw action in wins vs. Portland State, at Tennessee and vs. New Mexico to open the season • Tested as team’s fastest defensive lineman during winter workouts with a 4.71 electronic 40-yard dash clocking, as well as Ducks’ strongest player, combining to lift 1,244 lbs. spanning three separate lifts • Paced position with a 35.5-inch vertical jump, 500-lb. back squat and shared top honors with a 395-lb. bench press.

2009 — Credited with solo tackles against Utah, Washington State, UCLA, Washington and Stanford, to go along with his quarterback sack against the Cougars • Also recovered a blocked punt in the end zone for a touchdown at Washington, in addition to forcing a fumble against the Cougars • UO’s strongest player, pound for pound, totaling 5.61 times his body weight in the bench (355), squat (465) and clean (308) lifts during winter testing

2008 — Saw the field for two plays in the season opener vs. Washington.

BEFORE OREGON — Attended Mt. San Antonio Community College from 2006-08 after graduating from Aurora High School of the Centennial League • Led the Mt. SAC Mounties to a 10-3 record and paced the defense with 63 tackles (40 solo) in 2007 • Also notched 5.5 sacks and returned two interceptions for a combined total of 50 yards.
