Team Players of the Week
Monday, September 1, 4:15 p.m.

While the bulk of the U.S. is enjoying a leisurely holiday, a few of us are enjoying (Hah!) a Monday filled with typing game notes, coordinating interviews and conducting - more or less - business as usual. Don't get me wrong, it beats working on a crab fishing crew, although the extra cash would be alluring.

After yesterday's off day, the Ducks are practicing until 4:30 p.m. today, going through initial preparations for Saturday's game against Utah State. Jeremiah Masoli (who actually goes by "Jay") was the first quarterback out of the locker room, anxious to take in as much of the offense as he can this week in the event that he gets the call again versus the Aggies. Justin Roper (concussion) said he's improving, but he did not participate in the workout.

Max Unger addresses the media before Monday's practice.
