Salling, who turned down an invitation to play for the Canadian junior national squad when she was 15, plays for the PoCo Ravens in British Columbia... Known for her exceptional defensive skills at Terry Fox Secondary, Salling was named the Female Athlete of the Year in 2004 and 2005...Was also named the top defensive player on her basketball team (2005) and top offensive volleyball player (2005). Named team MVP in 2005 on both her volleyball and basketball teams...Was an all-star shortstop on Team BC and boasted the squads top batting average.
