EUGENE - More good news for Oregon junior women's golfer Kendra Little.

The Eugene, native not only won the Branch Law Firm / Dick McGuire Invitational individual title in Albuquerque last Sunday, but her tournament record 12-under 207 (71-68-68) also broke the school record of 8-under set by former teammate Cathryn Bristow in the 2008 UNLV Spring Rebel Invitational (69-69-70-208 (par 72)).

Her score also puts her atop the early season national Golfstat Cup rankings (69.00 average), and she's followed by Darlene Bognot of Morehead (second) and Carolien Hedwall of Oklahoma State (third).

Individual rankings are available at the and  websites, and Golfweek national rankings will be available later this week at the website.

Last year, Little ended the season ranked top 100 in both national individual rankings (GolfStat 78th; GolfWeek 89th).During the collegiate campaign, she finished 12th in the Pac-10 Championships (76-73-70-219) and became the second Duck ever to earn multiple All-Pac-10 honors with her second-team honors in 2008 and '09. She notched her second career victory last September to open the season in the Giustina Memorial Classic (69-73-73-215) in Corvallis, with her other win in the 2008 Duck Invitational (70-73-71-214).

During the summer of '09, she finished second in the Oregon Amateur and PNGA Amateur and also competed in the U.S. Women's Amateur and advanced to the opening round of match play.

Looking ahead, Little will look to defend her 2008 Giustina Memorial Classic title next week when the No. 35 Duck women play with their men's counterparts next Monday-Tuesday, September 28-29 at the Trysting Tree Golf Course in Corvallis, Ore.
