Travel Squad, Duck Cast
Friday, October 9, 10:30 a.m. PDT

The Ducks are currently participating in their final practice before heading to LAX this afternoon. In the past, the session that takes place the day before a game has been termed a walkthrough, but in the Kelly era, “practice” seems more appropriate due to its structure and detail. To say this group of coaches and players are prepared and focused would be an understatement.

Today’s trip will be the first conference roadie of the season, meaning Oregon’s travel squad is limited to 64 players. Nothing earth shattering as to who the Ducks are going to battle with when they enter the Rose Bowl on Saturday morning.

Courtesy of Bobby Corser, Oregon chapter president of the American Meteorological Society, here’s the weather scoop for Saturday in Pasadena:

"The Oregon Ducks hit the road for their first Pac-10 road test this weekend. The boys will head south to beautiful southern California. Pasadena will greet the team with sunny skies and temps in the upper 70's this weekend. Winds will be light. Bottom line, the weather will not be an issue. The Rose Bowl is one of the great venues for college football anywhere. The natural grass is fast according to former Ducks Anthony Newman, Joe Reitzug, and Bobby DeBisschop. It will be a great weekend for college football in LA and even here in the valley. If you're going to the game, you'll need nothing more than some shorts and a shirt. Cheer on the Ducks to victory! Go Ducks!"
