Rose Bowl Week, Day 3 Wrap
Tuesday, December 29, 7:00 a.m. PST

It's hard to believe, but we reached the midpoint of Rose Bowl practice here in Southern California with the conclusion of Oregon's third full workout at the Home Depot Center on Monday.

The Ducks donned full pads for the second straight day and progressed through a fast-paced two-hour session in near perfect weather conditions (partly sunny, temps in the low 60s). Attendees included kids from a local Boys & Girls club, Oregon baseball coach George Horton and former UO assistant and NFL and Pac-10 head coach John Robinson.

Oregon will have two more full-length practices before Thursday's walkthrough, leading up to the "Granddaddy of Them All."

Monday's team function was Lawry's Beef Bowl, a Rose Bowl tradition since 1956. The Ducks ate prime rib at the Beverly Hills restaurant that has served more than 19,000 players and coaches over the past 54 years.

In true Hollywood fashion, the team had to navigate around Paparazzi and TMZ cameras upon leaving. Tipped to their presence, the football operations staff safely escorted their presumed target out via a service entrance. Spencer Paysinger and NaDerris Ward were asked by the camera crew to participate in an off-color true or false game, but wisely declined. Unreal.

Now, let's get to the day in pictures from the cameras of Big E...

Lots of talk this week about Pryor not coming to UO, but Darron Thomas did and he wasn't exactly chopped liver on the prep recruiting depth chart two years ago.

Living the dream. A walk-on punter last year, Bend native Mark Speck is now a manager, flipping balls to Rose Bowl quarterback Jeremiah Masoli.

Practice makes perfect.

Will Wallace skies for a nice pass breakup during an early drill.

The first 15 minutes were open to the media on Monday, but none of them will have this shot.

Nate Costa and company didn't waste any opportunities to get their throwing reps in.

A Buckeye at practice! I wonder of tOSU knows that Kirk Herbstreit's kids have Duck jerseys.

Kenjon Barner, hobbled a bit by various injuries down the stretch, has a healthy bounce back in his step this week.

Some members of the Boys & Girls Club had front row seats to watch the Ducks.

Baseball coach George Horton escaped the non-baseball weather in Eugene to mingle with members of the group.

Is it just me or does LeGarrette Blount always appear to be running down hill.

I think it's safe to say that LaMichael James is the "Ligthning" to LG's "Thunder" in UO's newfound backfield.

There were three Chips out at practice on Monday.

Jeff Maehl is looking to continue his recent big play role on Jan. 1.

Not a Rose Bowl tradition, but it's an Oregon bowl game in California tradition.

Will Tukuafu and the Ducks capped the day at the Beef Bowl.
