The 1962 All-Coast pick - who also served as his team’s punter for two seasons - continued his playing career as a 10-year NFL veteran with Washington and Cleveland before receiving his alma mater’s Leo Harris Award in 1983 (based on 20 years of achievement and service since graduation).
