“With the addition of some talented new players added to our roster of returners that are a year more experienced, the 2010 baseball season should develop into a very exciting and rewarding experience for our fans,” Oregon baseball head coach George Horton said. “The combination of a fabulous fan-friendly ballpark, our event management staff, and a competitive team should make an Oregon baseball ticket a precious item. We hope to make PK Park the only place to be during our home contests.”

Last year a total of 57,704 fans came to PK Park as the Ducks had three official sellouts and averaged 2,404 fans per game.

Opponents headed to PK Park for 2010 include Washington, Seattle, Nevada, Southern Utah, defending Pac-10 champion Arizona State, USC, Oregon State, Washington State, Portland, San Diego, East Tennessee State and California. For a complete 2010 schedule click HERE.

The Ducks also expect to have a talented product on the field with a roster that boasts back-to-back top-25 recruiting classes under the guidance of Horton and his staff.

Oregon will begin its season on the road for the first two weeks in southern California and Hawaii, before returning for the 2010 home opener vs. Washington on March 2 and the much-anticipated opening of the newly-constructed PK Park.

Oregon’s newest facility is designed around a single, open concourse that provides incredible views to the entire playing field.

“We have designed PK Park with all the features and amenities necessary to help the University of Oregon baseball program quickly establish itself as a regular on the ‘Road to Omaha’. The Ducks’ passionate fans will find their new ballpark to be one of the best places in the country to cheer on their favorite team,” said Greg Garlock, Designer and Principal with DLR Group.

PK Park has a total capacity of 4,000, including 3,000 fixed seats, a tiered party plaza named “Fowl Territory”, a picnic plaza and eight upper level suites.

As a reminder, tickets are also currently on sale for The Civil War Classic presented by RBC Wealth Management. First pitch is set 6:30 p.m. from PGE Park in Portland on Wednesday, May 26.
