Walker's Pace: Ducks Charge to No. 1

Tuesday, May 18, 2010, 4:55 p.m.

Following their dominating performance at the Pac-10 Championships, the Women of Oregon rocketed up to No. 1 in the lastest USTFCCCA rankings. The men of Oregon remained No. 2 in the poll, though the team at the top changed.

The women climbed from No. 3 to No. 1 for the first time this outdoor season. Texas A&M fell to No. 2 and Louisiana State to No. 3 with Oklahoma and Virginia Tech remaining at No. 4 and No. 5.

In the men's poll, Florida jumped over both Oregon and Texas A&M to take over the top spot. The Ducks moved ahead of the Aggies, who dropped to No. 3. After an impressive showing of its own at the Pac-10 meet, USC moved up to No. 4, with LSU at No. 5.
