Walker's Pace: Duckcast and Live Blog
Friday, October 15, 2:30 p.m. PDT
Oregon's lone regular-season home cross country meet, the Bill Dellinger Invitational, takes place on Saturday and GoDucks.com will have you covered with a live blog. There's even better news for those coming out to Pre's Trail as the meet will be contested under beautiful fall conditions, according to Track Town, USA, official forecaster, Bobby Corser, President of the American Meteorological Society, Portland chapter:
The Oregon Ducks cross country team doesn't leave home this weekend as they travel just across the river to Alton Baker Park. The weather this time of year can be somewhat tricky. That will not be the case on Saturday. The morning fog will give way to sunshine and it will be a beautiful day in the south Willamette Valley. Temperatures will top out around 60 degrees. A light wind will pick up as the day progresses. Grab a jacket and come cheer on the runnin' Ducks!
And if you're headed out to the races on Saturday, be sure to wear pink!
GoDucks.com will follow the action from starting gun to finish line with a live blog of both the men's and women's races. Here's a link: Dellinger Meet Live Blog (note: the event will go live at 11:30 a.m. Saturday morning).
Also, be sure and watch for former Duck greats Andy Wheating, Nicole Blood and Ashton Eaton, who will be on hand signing autographs on Saturday after the race, as will the current Oregon cross country teams.
