Senior forward Joevan Catron helped the Ducks to a 68-49 home win over Portland State this past Sunday afternoon, and a near upset of No. 9 Missouri three days earlier.
Against Missouri, Catron had 15 points and six boards, making a season-high seven free throws in the game. Five of his six rebounds were of the offensive variety.
Catron registered his ninth career double-double (first of 2010-11 season) in tallying 15 points and 10 rebounds against Portland State. He went 6-of-12 from the field in leading the Ducks to the 19-point win. Catron also addd two steals and two assists.
Catron has led the team in scoring six times this season. He’s reached double-figures in scoring in seven of the eight games in 2010-11.
