Ducks Drop Final Game of Italian Foreign Tour

Oregon fell behind 32-13 after the first period, but trailed just 43-35 at halftime after out-scoring Casale Monferrato 22-11 in the second stanza.
"We got off to a bad start and while we fought back we could not get over the hump," head coach Dana Altman said. "The game was very physical."
Freshman guard Brett Kingma scored a team-high 13 points, the only Oregon player to reach double figures in scoring. It marked the fifth time on the trip that a UO freshman led the team in scoring, with guard Jabari Brown registering team-highs in the previous four games.
Junior forward E.J. Singler added eight points to go with a game-high 15 rebounds (five offensive boards). Senior forward Olu Ashaolu added nine rebounds for UO, while junior forward Carlos Emory contributed nine points.
The Ducks had the edge on the glass out-rebounding Casale Monferrato, 51-43.
Oregon shot just 28 percent from the floor (20-of-69) and 20 percent on 3-pointers (5-of-24). The Ducks hit 78 percent of their free throw attempts (18-of-23). UO held Casale Monferrato to just 37 percent shooting (25-of-67) on field goals and just 5-of-26 from behind the 3-point arc (19 percent). Casale Monferrato went 17-of-26 on free throws for 65 percent.
UO committed 20 turnovers, while Casale Monferrato turned it over just 11 times.
