EUGENE, Ore. - The University of Oregon men's tennis team takes on its second ranked foe of the season on Saturday as they welcome No. 62 UCSB to the Student Tennis Center for a 9 a.m. match.

The Ducks (4-0) have opened the dual season in extremely impressive form, having not dropped a point in any of their matches combining for a total margin of victory of 28-0.  The Oregon men have yet to drop a singles match this spring.

Sophomores Alex Rovello and Robin Cambier have been playing at the No. 1 and No. 2 position, while junior Jeff Mullen has been a staple at the No. 3 spot for Oregon. Freshman Daniel Sardu has slid into the No. 4 position for the Ducks, while seniors Jose Izquierdo and Sho Higuchi and junior Aaron Clissold have all rotated into the five and six spot for head coach Nils Schyllander.

Saturday's match marks the fifth consecutive match at home to open the season for the Ducks and is one of eight matches in a row that the Ducks will play at home. The homestand was expected to be broken up by a Feb. 4 match at Denver, but was cancelled due to winter storms in the Denver area.

The Gauchos (4-2) are coming off a win over Westmont College, 7-0 and a loss at No. 1 USC, 7-0.  UCSB is led by junior Benjamin Recknagel and senior Mathieu Forget.  The two have combined for a 7-5 singles record playing exclusively at No. 1 and 2.

The Ducks are encouraging fans to show their support this weekend and during the rest of the season.  Complimentary donuts and coffee courtsey of Allann Bros. will be served at the Student Tennis and as always admission is free.
