Johnson was the first student-athlete from Oregon to be selected in the WNBA Draft since Cathrine Kraayeveld was picked in 2005. Kraayeveld is set to start her eighth year in the league, and is beginning her first season with the Atlanta Dream.

Johnson powered the Ducks’ offense in her final three seasons, and was selected to the Pac-12 All-Conference team in 2012 after averaging 18.0 points and 9.6 rebounds per game during her senior campaign. She ended her collegiate career ranked 49th all-time in the Conference in scoring (1,505) and 21st in rebounding (893).

Johnson is also the only player in UO women’s hoops history to rank in the all-time top five of points (5th), rebounds (4th), steals (195, 5th) and three-pointers (168, 5th).

On Tuesday, May 8, the Mercury will play a preseason game vs. the Japanese women's national team at US Airways Center.
