Sophomore Cassy Isagawa and freshman Caroline Inglis finished in the top 15 after the second round of the event. Isagawa (74-74-148) moved up one spot from yesterday, finishing in a tie for 10th place after shooting 2-over 74 for the second straight day. Inglis (72-77-149) fell back from fourth place into a tie for 12th by shooting 5-over 77 in the second round.
“Cassy was a few putts away from shooting a good score today,” Oregon Head Coach Ria Scott said. “Caroline played lots of good solid holes as well.”
Junior Raphaela Dyer (84-75-159) matched her best score of the season when she scored 3-over 75. The Swanmore, England native moved up 25 spots and finished the second round in a tie for 43rd place.
“Raffi (Dyer) had a great turn around today and was 3 under on the par 5’s,” Scott said.
The team also counted a scorecard from sophomore Cali Hipp (79-80-159) who shot 8-over 80. Monica Petchakan (77-81-158) finished the day in a tie for 40th after shooting 9-over 81.
“We need to get off to a better start tomorrow and stick to our plan of making decisive swings at conservative targets,” Scott said. “Playing the par 5s well will also be key for us.”
