EUGENE, Ore.—The Oregon Ducks women’s lacrosse team is set to compete for the first time this year as they head to San Siego, Calif. for a scrimmage against San Diego State University. In addition, the Ducks will be hosting a free clinic for local kids and coaches.
"Our team is very excited to head to California and scrimmage SDSU this weekend,” said head coach Jen Beck. “The focus of our fall has been team chemistry. We are establishing new leaders and working 13 freshmen into our systems and I think we are all anxious to see how we can perform together."
The scrimmage will begin at 1 pm on Saturday, Oct. 13th at SDSU. The free clinic will take place the following day from noon-3:00 p.m. at Poway High School.
"We are also looking forward to hosting a free clinic on Sunday. It is a fantastic opportunity for us to work with local players and coaches and teach them new skills and strategies. We are expecting a great crowd so we are asking attendees to please register ahead!"
