EUGENE, Ore. -- The University of Oregon women’s basketball team will play its final exhibition game on Wednesday, Nov. 7 against Corban University. Tip-time is scheduled for 7 p.m. (PT) at Matthew Knight Arena in Eugene. The game will be streamed online through Pac-12 live stream. Live statistics will also be available on goducks.com. In-game updates will be available on the official Twitter account (@OregonWBB).
Tickets ($3-$10) are available online at goducks.com, in-person at the Moshofsky Center Ticket Office (M-F, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.) or over the phone at 1-800-WEBFOOT. Tickets are also available at the Matthew Knight Arena Box Office (M-F, 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m.) on game days.
Head coach Paul Westhead
and the Ducks return 10 letterwinners and two starters for the upcoming
2012-13 season. Last year’s squad went 15-16 overall and finished ninth
in the Pac-12 with a 7-11 record.
UP NEXT FOR THE DUCKS
Oregon will open regular season play on Sunday, Nov. 11 with a home game against Saint Mary’s. That game is slated to begin at 2 p.m. (PT). UO's ticket promotion for that game allows fans to receive a $5 general admission ticket with proof of a ticket from
the previous night’s volleyball match against Arizona. In addition,
there will be 100 re-usable water bottles given away as part of
sustainability night. There will also be pregame sign making and
postgame autographs from the team.

Season tickets offer up to a 30 percent savings off single-game ticket
prices. Adult General Admission: $99. Regular Reserved: $150. Premium
Reserved: $188. Child/Senior General Admission: $68. Family Plan General
Admission (2 adults and 3 children): $255.
In addition to the season tickets, there are two different mini plans
for the upcoming season.
The Flex Plan offers a savings of over 16
percent. There are three different Flex Plan options for fans to choose
from. Tier 1: Pick one game between Oregon State or Connecticut. Tier 2:
Pick any 2 games from the Pac-12 Conference opponents, excluding Oregon
State. Tier 3: Pick any 2 games from our non-conference opponents,
excluding Connecticut.
The Weekend Plan consists of all eight weekend
home games and is only $76 which is a savings of over 17 percent
(schedule on left hand side).
DUCKS CRUISE IN EXHIBITION WIN OVER SOUTHERN OREGON
Four Ducks recorded double-doubles in their 118-74 exhibition win over Southern Oregon last Tuesday.
Senior Laura Stanulis had 18 assists to go with 10 rebounds and six points. Sophomore Megan Carpenter had 12 points and 13 rebounds, while freshman Jillian Alleyne added 14 points and 16 boards coming off the bench. Sophomore Jordan Loera had 13 points and 10 rebounds.
In all, the Ducks had six players score in double figures, led by sophomore Lexi Petersen who scored a game-high 27 points on 11-of-19 shooting from the field. Fellow sophomore Amanda Delgado came off the bench to score 22 points. Freshman Devyn Galland had 16 points in her first game at UO.
UO registered 32 assists to 46 made baskets, while recording just 16 turnovers in the contest. SOU tallied 11 assists and were forced into 24 turnovers.
TEAM CAPTAINS NAMED FOR 2012-13
Paul Westhead named Laura Stanulis and Danielle Love
the team’s captains for the upcoming season. Stanulis, from Portland,
Ore., is UO’s only senior and will be the team’s pace-setter as the
starting point guard. Her 3-point percentage (.429) and assist total
(61) are tops for any returning UO player. Love, a forward from Everett,
Wash., is one of two Ducks to start all 31 games a year ago. She
averaged 29.4 minutes per game which ranked second on last year’s team.
DUCKS A THREAT FROM LONG DISTANCE
Last season, Oregon averaged 7.7 made 3-pointers per game which ranked first in the Pac-12 and ninth nationally. During Paul Westhead’s
three years as head coach, UO has proved to be a deadly 3-point
shooting team, ranking third in the country in 2011 (8.5 per game) and
seventh in 2010 (8.4 per game). UO has led the Pac-12 in 3-pointers made
per game in each of the last three seasons.
Sophomore Jordan Loera
is the top returning 3-point shooter coming back for 2012-13. Loera,
from Moses Lake, Wash., made a team-best 45 shots from behind the arc
(45-of-133, .338) as a true freshman. Junior Danielle Love shot 39-of-127 (.307) on 3-pointers a year ago, the second-most of any returning Oregon player.
2012-13 PAC-12 COACHES’ POLL
Stanford was voted the preseason favorite by the Pac-12 women’s
basketball coaches to win the Pac-12 title in 2012-13. Collecting a
maximum number of points (121) and first-place votes (11), the Cardinal
earn the honor for the 12th year in a row. Receiving one first-place
vote and picked to finish second in the polling was California (109),
with UCLA rounding out the top-three with 100 points.
The Ducks were picked to finish 11th (behind Washington State and ahead
of Arizona).
Pac-12 preseason coaches’ poll has been administered since the 1998-99
season. Following are the results of the 2012 Pac-12 preseason coaches’
poll; coaches are not allowed to vote for their own teams (points:
11-10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1, first-place votes in parentheses).
OREGON ANNOUNCES CHALLENGING SCHEDULE
The Oregon women’s basketball schedule
features 18 regular-season games to be played at Matthew Knight Arena
in Eugene. Of UO’s 23 opponents, 13 competed in postseason play a year
ago.
Highlighting the schedule is a Dec. 31 home game with seven-time NCAA
champion Connecticut. The Ducks will also participate in the Waikiki
Beach Marriott Rainbow Wahine Showdown played in Honolulu Nov. 23-25.
Seven of UO’s opponents participated in the 2012 NCAA Women’s
Basketball Championship, while another six took part in the postseason
Women’s National Invitation Tournament.
In addition to the Pac-12 Conference schools on the schedule, UO will
battle teams from 10 other conferences: Big East, Big Ten, Big 12, Big
Sky, Big West, Mountain West, Southeastern, Southern, Western Athletic
and West Coast.
AT LEAST NINE OREGON GAMES TELEVISED BY PAC-12 NETWORK
The Ducks are scheduled to play a minimum of nine televised games on
the Pac-12 Networks in the upcoming 2012-13 season. Four of the Ducks’
games will air on the national network, while another five will be on
one of the regional networks.
The Ducks’ game against seven-time NCAA champion Connecticut will be a
Pac-12 Network national broadcast. That New Year’s Eve contest is
scheduled for 12 pm (PT).
UO’s home game with in-state rival Oregon State – also a Pac-12 Network
national broadcast - is set for Tuesday, Jan. 15. That game will
tip-off at 8 p.m. (PT).
The second game in the Ducks-Beavers series is a regional broadcast
scheduled for Sunday, Jan. 20, with tip-off scheduled for 2 p.m. UO’s
road game with Washington will also be a regional telecast, with that
game slated to tip-off at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 27.
Both of Oregon’s games against Stanford will be broadcast on the Pac-12
Networks. The game in Eugene on Friday, Feb. 1 is a regional broadcast
set for 6 p.m., while the meeting in Stanford on Sunday, Feb. 24 is a
national broadcast scheduled for 4 p.m.
On Sunday, Feb. 17, the Ducks will host Washington State in a
regionally televised contest scheduled for 4 p.m. Oregon and California
will square off in a regionally televised game set for 6 p.m. on Friday,
Feb. 22. Oregon’s first Pac-12 Tournament game will also be televised
nationally. The quarterfinal and semifinals will also air on the Pac-12
Network, while the championship game will air on ESPN2.

DUCKS GO UNDEFEATED ON PRESEASON FOREIGN TOUR TO SPAIN
The Oregon women’s basketball team went 4-0 on its 2012 Spanish Foreign Tour which took place Aug. 24-Sept. 2. The Ducks played games against professional clubs from Madrid, Girona and Barcelona.
Oregon defeated a professional team from Madrid, Estudiantes, in
back-to-back games to open the trip (Game 1 - W, 94-67; Game 2 - W,
84-61).
From there, UO had a pair of games as part of the Torneig de Basquet
Unnim tournament played at the Pavello Esportiu Municipal located north
of Barcelona. UO recorded a 103-62 win over Uni Girona and a 70-52 win
over Santa Rosa de Lima.
Sophomore Lexi Petersen averaged a team-high 17.5 points per contest on the trip, one of four Ducks to average double-figures in scoring. Freshman Jillian Alleyne (14.5 ppg, 10.8 rpg) and sophomore Megan Carpenter (13.8 ppg, 10.3 rpg) each averaged double-doubles for UO. Sophomore Amanda Delgado averaged 15.0 points per outing.
