EUGENE, Ore. - The University of Oregon Cheer team will host its "Cheer with the Ducks" event on Sunday, Feb. 17 at the Matthew Knight Arena practice courts.
The clinic for boys and girls (ages 5-12) will take place from 1-3 p.m. Admission to the event is $25 per child or $40 for two children in the same family.
Each clinic participant will work closely with the Oregon cheerleaders and coaches and will receive the opportunity to perform at halftime of the Oregon women's basketball game against Washington State at 5 p.m. In addition, each registered participant will receive a personal mini-pizza, t-shirt, coupon for a free hamburger from Carl's Jr. and free entry into the National Girls and Women in Sports Fan Fair, which will be held from 3-4 p.m. at the Matt Arena practice courts. Children at the clinic will also have the chance to get autographs following the women's basketball game.
Parents must purchase their own tickets to the Oregon women's basketball game against Washington State to ensure they will see their child perform at halftime of the game. Tickets for the game for kids 12 and under are discounted to just $3 for general admission.
The "Cheer with the Ducks" cheerleading clinic is limited to the first 125 children. Registration must be received by Feb. 11.
