EUGENE, Ore.—The University of Oregon acrobatics and tumbling team travels to Azusa, Calif. for the first meet of the 2013 season on Thursday against Azusa Pacific University at 6:30 p.m.

The Ducks are looking for another successful season after winning the National Collegiate Acrobatics & Tumbling Association (NCATA) championship each of the past two seasons. Oregon went 8-0 last season, including a 2-0 postseason record and the NCATA championship. Head coach Felecia Mulkey has 21 letterwinners returning, while only losing 11 members of last year’s squad.

Mulkey, the 2011 NCATA Coach of the Year, adds eight new Ducks to the program. She also returns two NCATA All-Americans in junior Natasha Katzaroff and sophomore Tara Lubert. Several individual national champions return to the team as well: Sarah Moreno and Natasha Katzaroff (Duo), Karissa Chapman and Brandy Duren (trio), Maegan Campbell, Brianna McCulloch and Katzaroff (Quad), Nicole Erlichman (Six-Element), Miranda Merkison, Lubert, Lauren Loos, Katzaroff and Samantha Schulze (Pyramid Heat 3).

Results and a recap from Friday's meet will be available following the competition on GoDucks.com. A live stream is available here through Azusa Pacific's website for a fee.
