EUGENE, Ore.— The University of Oregon women’s golf team is headed to Palos Verdes, Calif. to start the spring season at the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge. The three-day, three-round event will start on Monday, Feb. 11 at the Palos Verdes Golf Club. The Palos Verdes Golf Club is a par 71, 6,017-yard course.
Junior Raphaela Dyer, sophomores Cali Hipp, Monica Petchakan and Cassy Isagawa, and freshman Caroline Inglis will be competing for the Ducks. Isagawa is ranked No. 46 by golfstat.com.
Six of the top ten team in the country according to golfstat.com’s rankings will join Oregon as No. 4 Duke, No. 3 Florida, No. 17 Michigan State, No. 14 Oklahoma State, No. 7 Arizona, No. 10 Arizona State, No. 22 Baylor, No. 86 Colorado, No. 33 Texas, No. 37 UCLA, No. 34 Pepperdine, No. 2 Washington and No. 1 USC will be competing as well.
The Ducks will be busy this spring as they travel to tournaments in New Orleans, La., San Jose, Calif., Waikoloa, Hawaii, Tempe, Ariz. and Valencia, Calif. The Pac-12 Championships will be held April 22-24 in Los Angeles, Calif., hosted by UCLA.
The Ducks return six players from the 2011-12 campaign, while adding one transfer from Penn State, Hanule Sky Seo, and one freshman, Caroline Inglis.
