Head Coach Dana Altman

On the seniors last home game…

“I always like when senior players have the opportunity to thank the fans. It was a good win for our team. We really battled back in the second half. Oregon State played outstanding, but in the second half they just didn’t hit the shot, which was great for us.”

On being down at halftime…

“I’m biased, but I think we have good guys. At halftime you could see how disappointed they were. They had families there. But we’re still in the conference and I reminded them of that. We still have something to look forward to.”

“Our guys are competitors. That’s always a quality you look for in a team. We’ve been down before and I’ve been upset, but I’ve never panicked. I definitely think our preparation should be better.”

On defending Roberto Nelson…

"I thought our awareness was better on him. He got some curls in the first half, I think we did a better job with that. When a guy gets on a roll like that we need to get a guy on him. I think we did much better the second half."

On Damyean Dotson

His personality and competitiveness. His 12 minutes were really good. His 2 threes were big in spreading that zone out. He’s just a threat. He’s shooting way over 50% for 3s in conference play.

Senior Forward E.J. Singler

On coming back in the second half…

“I knew we were going to win. I had full confidence in our guys. I knew we would regroup in the second half. We came out and got some good turnovers and really executed in the second half. We would like to be up at half, but our senior leadership in the second half is really good. But we have better starts.”

On teammate Dominic Artis

He’s been a great player for us early on. We all know he’s a great player and hopefully he can come back and give us more minutes against Colorado.

On his last home game…

“Coming back from timeouts I really soaked it in. It was a great night and great crowd.”

Senior Forward Carlos Emory

On coming back in the second half…

“It’s all about jumping back in and making sure we stay with the positive energy. The seniors are good at bouncing the team back and making sure we’re good to go.”

On his growth as a player…

“I feel like I’ve been a lot more comfortable out there. I’ve been able to take criticism and everything going on around me and just shut it out.”

On Damyean Dotson’s fall…

“When Damyean went down, it frustrated me more than anything. I know he’s a great basketball player—a top freshman in the country. I just went out there and played in his shoes and played through his pain because I knew he couldn’t.”

Oregon Senior Forward Arsalan Kazemi

On getting a double-double in his last home game…
“It feels good. I’m glad to finish with a win. WE still have two games to go and we still need to win the Pac-12 conference. So this game was just another one we had to win to do that.”

Oregon Senior Center Tony Woods

On the effect of Oregon State’s Moreland’s offensive and technical foul combination…
“Taking that charge really got us going. The effect of that is contagious. Those plays were big energy plays for us.”
