EUGENE – Looking ahead to this weekend’s home softball series vs. No. 17 Arizona, Oregon fans can take advantage of several great promotions and tickets deals in three exciting games between the Pac-12-leading Ducks and the eight-time national champion Wildcats.
For Friday’s game vs. Arizona (4/12) at 5 p.m., fans that wear pink to ‘Strike Out Cancer Day’ will get $3 admission. The Ducks’ special pink jerseys will be auctioned off during the game in a silent raffle at the marketing table, and proceeds will go to the Willamette Valley Cancer Institute.
The game is sponsored by Carl’s Jr., and Duck students will get double points for the Oregon Rewards program. Free pizza will also be available for the first 50 UO students on-hand.
Saturday’s game vs. the Wildcats (4/13) at 2 p.m. is Spirit / Yellow Out Day. Fans that wear yellow will get reduced ticket prices ($3 adults / $2 kids), and current UO faculty will get $3 admission with a valid staff I.D. card. Duck softball player trading cards will also be available for the first time as well as 50 mini-posters, and kids can get autographs after the game.
Sunday’s Arizona finale (4/14) at noon is ASA Day, and kids that wear their softball/baseball uniforms to the game will get $2 tickets. The contest is also a BiMart 2-for-1 ticket deal for fans that show their BiMart cards at the gate.
Three weeks later, the Seattle Wednesday doubleheader (5/1) at 1 p.m. is DayCare Day. Kids will get $2 admission, and tickets are two games for the price of one. A Duck coloring contest will also be held at the promotions/marketing table.
Later that week, Oregon wraps the home regular season slate with three Civil War single games against returning NCAA Regional finalist Oregon State, May 3-5.
For the Friday Beaver game (5/3) at 4 p.m., fans are encouraged to wear green as part of the ‘Go Green’ Day, and several environmental awareness booths will be at the park.
Saturday’s OSU game (5/4) at noon is Junior Duck / KIDSPORTS / Eugene Little League Day. Junior Duck Club members get in free with their membership card as always. The Oregon Duck will be at the game from 11:30-12:30pm to take photos & kids are invited to participate in a coloring contest at the marketing/promotions table. Duck players will also sign autographs afterwards as part of the season-long ‘Signature Saturday’ promotion.
In the Senior Day home finale on Sunday (5/5) at 1 p.m. vs. the Beavers, senior citizens and kids will get $2 tickets, and 100 free Oregon Softball t-shirts will be given away. Kids can run the bases post-game, and Duck students get double points for the Oregon Rewards program.
For any Oregon home softball game, groups of 10 or more can pre-arrange discounted tickets (adults $3, kids $2) by contacting Greg Panelli in the Group Ticket Sales department (541 346-8542).
When ordering tickets, area youth softball teams that purchase group tickets can also request to participate in the ‘Softball Buddies’ Duck pre-game introductions in front of the team’s dugout at Howe Field.
