Oregon Head Coach Robert Johnson
On the meet...
"Kudos to Arkansas to come in here and compete like they did. Hats off to Coach Bucknam and his team. It was a disappointing way to end the meet on the loss in the 4x400M."

On Mike Berry...
"Mike is a stalworth and a champion. I would pick him as the anchor on my team any day of the week."

Top performers today...
"Elijah Greer and Mac Fleet had huge runs in the 800M and 1500M. They were huge wins for us and that's exactly where we are trying to go. I couldn't be more proud of them."

On Sam Crouser's performance...
"To be over there and see him throw that PR was amazing. I don't usually see them compete that us up. To see him up close and personal dig down and do that was awesome on his last attempt, last one best one is our motto. He's going to be telling him kids the story of that throw some day. He'll probably tell them I squeezed him a little too hard, I was so excited for him."

Arkansas Head Coach Chris Bucknam
On the meet...
"This was a great opportunity for us. We are thankful for the crowd.  We appreciate Oregon coaches for providing this. I wanted to bring the athletes out to experience this historic field. Everything was great. The weather was perfect. This was a perfect track meet."

On the 4x400 relay...
"We have a pretty good 4x400 team. We had to mix and match, but we knew we were solid, especially after winning in the indoor. It all seemed to work out."

On pole vaulting...
"Most impressive was that our pole never showed up. We struggled with the carbon poled, but ended up making good attempts. I'm very proud of Andrew [Irwin]."

Men’s 1500M
1st Place- Mac Fleet (Oregon)
On the victory…
“I got a win and a personal record. I can’t really complain with those results.”

On race preparation and execution…
“I didn’t really have a race plan. I just felt good moving up in my gaps.”

On the weather…
“I didn’t notice the breeze when I was sitting, but I realized it was windy once I started running. The wind is always a factor, but I didn’t think it was too bad.”

On training…
“This race was a good indicator to show where we are at as far as training goes.”
“Being injured makes you really think about your training. There’s no point in running these early season races really fast right now. It’s a long season and I just needed the win today.”

Men's 110 M Hurdles
1st Place-Johnathan Cabral (Oregon)
On his goals for the day...
"I was coming out today to PR in both, but I tried my best, did my best, and so I'm happy with that. I'm happy with my time. Coming out to run with the crowd cheering you on, you can't be anything but happy."

On his 400 M hurdles...
"The headwind got to me a little but so I lost focus going into one hurdle, but otherwise I did what I wanted to do."

On his 110 M hurdles...
"I started out a little shaky, but I came back and just pushed to maintain the lead."

Men's 100M
1st Place- Arthur Delaney (Oregon)
On his 100M race...
"I was happy to get the win at that time. It was pretty big for me to run 10.3, it was big for the team points."

On running the 200...
"I liked it a lot, I didn't win, but it was my season best."

Men's Javelin/Discus
1st Place- Sam Crouser
(Oregon)
On his performance...
"I was happy about my consistency today. It was a good day in both the discus and javelin for me."

"I was feeling so much better on the runway this afternoon. My finish was a little off, but I was able to have fun out there today."

On the victory...
"I didn't just want this for myself. I wanted to win for my team, because I really want to beat Arkansas."

"I had a seasonal personal record, so that made me happy."

 Men's 4x400 and 800M
 Elijah Greer (Oregon)
On the loss...
"It's unfortunate we weren't able to come through at the end, but we kept it close through the final meters. I know I certainly showed them I'm a contender."
"I'm not disappointed at all, but I have big goals and ambitions. I know that every opportunity
matters."
On the race...
"I've had some really strong workouts, but I notice I run my best when it really counts at meets."
On the weather...
"I think it may have been a little too windy to attack a really fast time."
On the future...
"I feel like the team can bounce back from this loss and put up a great showing at the NCAA Championship."

Men's 400 M dash
1st Place-Mike Berry (Oregon)
On the 4x400 relay...
"I wanted to float around the curve and then really go hard out of it. I just kept my hand moving and my head down."
"I was disappointed with my performance in the 4x400. We had a long week in practice. With races so close together, it's hard on your muscles. My plan went well, but my legs weren't well. It's really all out preparation, but I just focused and stuck through it."
On competing last minute…
"I'm kind of used to being asked by my coach to step in. Whatever my coach tells me to do, I'll do it and perform the best to my abilities."
