EUGENE, Ore. — The Oregon Ducks will make their 21st all-time appearance in NCAA postseason play on May 16-18 when they compete at the Tallahassee Regional, hosted by Florida State University.
Oregon earned the No. 8 seed in the regional. It is the Ducks sixth appearances in regional play in head coach Casey Martin's seven-year tenure with the school.
Last year, Oregon placed second in regional play, allowing the Ducks to advance to the NCAA Championships, where they placed third. The third-place finish a year ago matched the best finish in school history (2010).
Oregon is one of 13 teams in the Tallahassee Regional. Joining the Ducks are the No. 1 seed Washington Huskies, No. 2 seed Georgia Tech, No. 3 Florida State and fourth-seeded North Florida. In addition, fifth-seeded Oklahoma, No. 6 Wake Forest, No. 7 seed NC State and No. 9 seed Oregon State make the trip southeast. Rounding out the 13 teams are No. 10 Iowa, No. 11 South Florida, No. 12 San Diego and No. 13 Loyola (Md.).
Regional action at the Golden Eagle Golf and Country Club begins on Thursday, May 16 and continues through Saturday, May 18.
