EUGENE, Ore. – While the majority of the Oregon track and field teams are in Los Angeles for the Pac-12 Championships, a small contingent of potential NCAA West qualifiers will compete Saturday at the West Coast Invitational, hosted by Willamette University.
The field events begin at 2 p.m., with the running events getting underway at 5:10 p.m. at McCulloch Stadium.
On the track, Oregon’s men will have Jordan Latt and Chris Stubbs in the 200 and 400 meters, Chris Brewer and Trent Warren in the 1,500 meters and Ben DeJarnette, Mitch Hunt, Matt Jablonski and Ryan Pickering in the 5,000.
In the field, men have Bradley Laubacher in the high jump, Ryan Hunter-Simms in the shot put and discus and Tanner Harris in the hammer.
The Ducks will also have three unattached competitors, Madelayne Varella in the women’s 100 meters and long jump, Ashante Horsley in the women’s 400 and Cameron Acosta in the men’s javelin.
