Oregon Head Coach Mike White
On today's win...
“It was a good win for us. At this stage any win is a good win. Playing against a quality opponent, North Carolina was a good pitcher. It kind of went how we thought it was going to be; it was going to be difficult to score runs off of her. Fortunately enough, we were able to lead the game off with our short game.”

On putting Jessica Moore as pitcher…
“She has proven she’s our number one over the last four years. Today was her 100th win in her career. I know when she goes out there, we have a shot and I know I’m going to get consistency.”

On the value of playing at home…
“You can’t underestimate that. It’s so much nicer to relax, sleep in your own bed, eat your own meals…you are able to control everything you do, keep a routine, and that is really good.

On their mental approach as they go into the World Series…
“We’ve always talked about treating every game the same. It’s about playing Oregon softball. Our game is to have a balanced attack, set our game up with a small ball, run bases and get good pitching. One of the things I talked to the girls about that we do best is that we hit.”

Oregon Senior Pitcher Jessica Moore
On pitching this morning after last night’s game…

“It’s not really anything new to me; I’ve had to do it the past three years. Last year, I think I had it a little worse out in Texas, so coming out and throwing this morning’s game wasn’t too bad for me.”
On winning tomorrow’s game…
“Like Coach White said, we have to go out and play every game like it’s going to be our last. At this point it could turn really quickly. I think our team just needs to go out and be aggressive on who ever we play. Just come out fired up and ready to win, and get ourselves to the next step of what our ultimate goal is.”
Oregon Sophomore Outfielder Janie Takeda
On the team’s offensive approach…
“We let some pretty good strikes go by. The pitcher had some good movement, but I think we’ll be able to make the adjustments and come out swinging tomorrow.”
On her steals today…
“I just get the steal sign and run as fast as I can. It’s just picking up the ball when you get to the next base and trying to take the next 60 feet.”

On the team’s confidence level…
“The confidence level in each other is definitely at its highest. We all have faith that the next person is going to do it and we just really want each other to do well, so I think that’s a big part of it. I think we have a lot of confidence.”

Wisconsin Head Coach Yvette Healy
On today's wins...
“We talked about it going into today about let’s just take one. We’re kind of a special group. We have had a lot of balance on the line today.”
On pitcher Meghan McIntosh...
“Meghan has really been the unsung hero. She threw some phenomenal games all year long, if you want to make a run in this tournament we have to have two great pitchers and that we do have.”
On playing in the tournament...
“We said coming off yesterday there is a lot of pride. We said on elimination day it’s all about heart, and that is what we have a lot of. So a day like today matches up with us.”
On playing Oregon...
“It’s fun we get to match up with them. Just to be able to go head to head with them is an honor. They have power and speed, they bring a lot to the table and they’re at home. But at this point, we’re comfortable playing anywhere.”

Wisconsin Designated Player Marissa Mersch
On her team...
"Everybody’s been doing so well all year. If you’re doing well, it’s easy to have fun all year.”

Wisconsin Pitcher Meghan McIntoshOn pitching in game 5...
"I was ready to advenge those games and go back to basics. I was really pleased."
