Oregon Head Coach Mike White
On the game…
“Congrats to Wisconsin, they did an amazing job. I thought both teams did extremely well today. I thought their pitches did a great job. It was the best defensive performance for us that I’ve seen in a long time.”

On the pitching…
“Cheridan Hawkins mixed up the speed and did exactly what we wanted and then Jess (Jessica Moore) came in and switched it up on them.”
“The luxury of having Jess coming off the bench is very nice. These players have worked hard for everything they get out there.”

On the batting today…
“I thought we had better at bats today against a great pitcher in Cassandra Darrah. I was more pleased even though the numbers don’t say it.”

On the tournament…
“It was a good tournament overall for us, we got better each game.”
“I was very happy to see two shutouts for the past two games. I’m very happy with that, but I’m even more happy with our defense to help our pitching today.”

Oregon Pitcher Jessica Moore
On being able to play the superregional at home…
“It will be really nice to stay at home, especially with us still being in class. It will be nice to sleep in our own beds and have everyone else do the traveling. The crowds keep getting bigger and bigger and we have had great fan support, which has been great.”

On Cheridan Hawkins…
“Cheridan threw a great game, it was great to go out there and help her out in the end.”

On Janelle Lindvall's home run in the 7th inning…
“It was great for Janelle to do that in the top of the 7th inning and give us insurance.”

Outfielder Sam Pappas
On her home run in the 1st inning…
“Watching everyone else before me, I saw she was going strike then skrew ball so I was ready for it.”

On playing the super regional at home…
“It’ll be fun to have friends and family here to watch us. And apparently we don’t lose at home. It’ll be great to have the fan support too.”

Wisconsin Head Coach Yvette Healy
On their loss to Oregon…
“It’s a tough with a season with this many win, but you can’t be disappointed. These kids did phenomenal against players like that. We have so much pride in what we did.”

On the team…
“We gave them a run for their money. We had some of the best outs of the weekend. Just to have the kids have an experience against pitchers like that, that’s great. I think we can be a really good ball club, we just have to keep going.”

On making it to the Regional…
“I am so happy with their effort. You can’t replace this kind of experience.”

Wisconsin Pitcher Cassandra Darrah
On pitching…
“I felt pretty good out there. I did all I could to give us a shot and keep the ball in the park. I feel like I did better than the rest of the weekend.”

Wisconsin Rightfielder Mary Massei
On Oregon pitchers…
“The pitchers were good. We had a lot of close plays, but they just executed and got the win. I am proud of our team”
