In action from this weekend involving UO programs ...

The women's volleyball team needed just nine sets to win three matches in a tournament hosted by Fresno State on Friday and Saturday. Middle blocker Ariana Williams was named the event's MVP.

The volleyball team now has a break before opening Pac-12 play in Corvallis on Sept. 25.

Oregon's women's golf team kicked off its fall slate with a tournment in Michigan. Both Caroline Inglis (fifth) and Cassy Isagawa (seventh) finished in the top 10, and the Ducks took fifth as a team.

The Ducks also started a freshman, Cathleen Santoso, who shot a 71 on the opening day and ended up in a tie for 17th. A name to remember going forward.

Finally, the men's golf team gets going today after missing out on the NCAA Championships by two strokes a year ago. The Ducks are one of six Pac-12 teams in the field this week, so this will be a good benchmark to start the season.
