EUGENE, Ore. – The University of Oregon athletic department and four non-profit organizations are teaming up with Ducks fans to give local kids an opportunity to see the 2013-14 Oregon men’s basketball team in action.
Fans can purchase tickets to donate to one (or more) of the non-profit organizations and receive a 100 percent tax deductible receipt from the chosen organization. In turn, a new generation of Ducks fans can experience what it is like to cheer on Oregon at Matthew Knight Arena, while the team benefits from increased attendance.
“The Duck Tix for Kids Program is the perfect way for Duck fans to support these great organizations and their great work in the community while introducing the next generation of fans to Oregon athletics at Matthew Knight Arena” Matt Harper, General Manager of Ticket Sales, said.
The four participating organizations teaming with the University of Oregon are Big Brothers Big Sisters, Boys and Girls Clubs of Emerald Valley, KIDSPORTS and the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI).
The Big Brothers Big Sisters mission is to provide children experiencing adversity with strong and enduring, professionally supported one-to-one relationships that change their lives for the better, forever.
The Boys and Girls Clubs give kids a safe place to be after school, while instilling character building qualities that will help them achieve their dreams.
KIDSPORTS is a private non-profit organization in Oregon that provides youth sports programs for pre-K through 12th grades in Eugene/Springfield and surrounding areas.
NAMI Lane County is a local organization that provides outreach, support and education to families and individuals affected by mental health issues.

Recommended levels of donations range from $300 to $7,500.
*MVP level - $300 donation provides two (2) tickets allowing 40-plus kids the opportunity to attend a game.
*ALL-CONFERENCE level - $900 donation provides six (6) season tickets allowing 120-plus kids the opportunity to attend a game.
*ALL-AMERICAN level - $1,500 donation provides 10 season tickets allowing 200-plus kids the opportunity to attend a game
*HALL OF FAME level - $4,500 donation provides 30 season tickets allowing 600-plus kids the opportunity to attend a game
*CHAMPION CLUB level - $7,500 donation provides 50 season tickets allowing 1,000-plus kids the opportunity to attend a game
