EUGENE, Ore. – The University of Oregon’s women’s soccer team had seven student-athletes earn Pac-12 academic recognition, the conference office announced Thursday.
To be eligible for selection to the academic team, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 overall grade-point average and be either a starter or significant contributor.
The seven Ducks honored also led Oregon on the field, tallying 27 of the team’s 40 points. Oregon closed the 2013 season with a 4-12-13 overall record. The Ducks picked up four victories at Papé Field, shut out five opponents and upset 12th-ranked California – the second-highest ranked team UO has ever defeated.
