EUGENE, Ore. – Two high schoolers and two junior college players have signed National Letters of Intent to play basketball for Oregon next season, head coach Dana Altman announced Friday.

The four signees are Dwayne Benjamin from Mt. San Jacinto College, Michael Chander from Northwest Florida State, Casey Benson of Corona Del Sol High School in Tempe, Ariz., and Canadian Ray Kasongo of Phase 1 Academy.

Benjamin, whose hometown is Lafayette, La., is a 6-7 forward who averaged 15.8 points and 7.2 rebounds a game last season for Mt. San Jacinto. He was rated a four-star recruit by Rivals.

Benson was the Gatorade State Player of the Year for Arizona after scoring 20.7 points per game for Corona Del Sol High School. Benson has led Corona Del Sol to consecutive Arizona state Division 1 titles. The three-star Rivals recruit scored 12 points with eight rebounds and six assists in the 2013 championship game.

Chandler was regarded as one of the top five high school centers in the nation while at Lawrence North High School in Indianapolis, Ind., earning a four-star rating from multiple outlets. After Lawrence North, he enrolled at Northwest Florida State, where he teamed with current Duck Elgin Cook to lead the Raiders to the 2013 NJCAA national championship game.

Kasongo, from Scarborough, Ontario, averaged 16.0 points per game as a junior for Pikeville High School in Kentucky. The Rivals three-star recruit will play his senior season at Phase 1 Academy in Phoenix, Ariz.
