EUGENE, Ore. – The Oregon women’s volleyball team (19-11, 12-8 Pac-12) was selected into the NCAA tournament with an at-large berth for the seventh time in the past eight years, Sunday. The Ducks will head to Lincoln, Neb. to face Miami, Friday, Dec. 6 at 2:30 p.m. PT. If they advance the Ducks will see either No. 8 Nebraska or Fairfield in the second round, Saturday.

Oregon has never faced Miami (19-11, 12-8) in the program’s history. The Hurricanes finished fourth in the ACC, a conference which received four tournament bids, and will head to the dance for its fifth-straight season. Last year, the Hurricanes lost to College of Charleston during a five-set first-round matchup.

Nebraska enters the tournament with a 23-6 record with a 16-4 conference record. The Cornhuskers are 13-2 at home with losses to Penn State and Purdue.

Fairfield hails from the Metro Atlantic Conference and is 19-12 after winning the conference tournament last week.

Nebraska will be familiar territory for Oregon which played two rounds in Omaha last season’s tournament. There, the Ducks defeated BYU in the first regional round before taking down Nebraska in the regional final.

The Ducks enter the tournament playing some of their best volleyball of the season riding a five-match winning streak and going 7-3 in their last 10 matches, the same mark Oregon finished with the last two years.

The Ducks are 10-6 in the NCAA Tournament under head coach Jim Moore after a run to the National Championship last season. It is the 11th overall NCAA Tournament appearance for Oregon.

If Oregon advances out of the first weekend of the tournament they will return to Lincoln for the regional site, in with seeded opponents No. 1 Texas, No. 9 San Diego and No. 1 Texas.
