Head Coach Paul Westhead

On Jillian Alleyne...

"On the defensive end, she has kind of a knack to go for the miss, and she knows how to reach at the right time, and has good body composure. The offense, it's just that we go usually so fast, she's going to get inside the defense. When we miss she has a good opportunity that most kids don't get if you play slow.

"That being said, getting an opportunity and getting (the rebound) are two different things. She reaps the benefits of the opportunity. She does a good job. She's a very good offensive rebounder, very good."

Forward Jillian Alleyne

On breaking the single season rebounding record…

“It’s a great feeling honestly; despite the loss it feels great. I work hard at rebounding and it’s a great feeling because it’s something I definitely take pride in. I’m proud of myself for it.”

On the team starting slow due to fatigue…

“I don’t think so. It’s a team thing, we have great leaders in Danielle Love and Ariel Thomas pulling us together, but it can’t just be one person. We need to pull it together as a team.”

Guard Ariel Thomas

On Jillian Alleyne breaking the single season rebounding record…

"A lot of players, they want to go out and score. But for Jill to go out and do the little things — rebound — that's huge. To fight over every ball like it's the last ball, or this is the ball we need — every single time — is a gift. And Jill has a great knack for it."
