EUGENE, Ore. - The Oregon softball team climbed to No. 2 in Tuesdays' USA Today/NFCA top-25 poll, the highest ranking in program history.

Oregon went from No. 6 up to No. 5 in the ESPN.com/USA Softball top-25 poll.

The Ducks' previous best ranking was their No. 3 spot in both polls to end the regular season last year. Oregon ended up No. 9 in both polls after the postseason.

Oregon has now been ranked for 57 straight weeks in the NFCA poll and 64 straight weeks in the USA Softball poll.

The Ducks knocked off No. 25 Auburn, Maryland, Bradley and Illinois State last weekend while falling to consensus No. 1 ranked Florida, 2-1, in eight innings.
