EUGENE, Ore. – Head coach Kat Mertz has announced the Oregon women’s soccer team’s spring schedule, which will feature five exhibition matches between April and May.

The exhibition schedule will kick start the second-year of the Mertz era as the Ducks look to build on this season’s 4-12-3 campaign. UO will return 18 letter winners from this season and potentially 9-of-11 starters. The Ducks also welcome back all of their top scorers and their starting goalkeeper.

The Ducks will open their exhibition slate with two road matches, beginning April 5 at Portland. The Ducks and Pilots will meet at 2 p.m. in Beaverton. In the regular season, Oregon forced then-15th-ranked Portland to overtime for the first time in program history before falling 2-1. The Pilots finished with a 17-3-1 record last season and reached the second round of the NCAA Championships.

Oregon will then travel to Corvallis on April 12th to meet Oregon State at 2 p.m. OSU finished with a 6-12-2 record this year.

The remainder of the spring schedule will be played at Papè Field as Oregon hosts three home matches. UO hosts Portland State on April 18 at 7 p.m. Oregon blanked the Vikings, 3-0, in the 2013 season-opener. Portland State went on to a 12-4-3 record.

Division II foe Seattle Pacific will travel to Eugene on April 26 for a 1:30 p.m. meeting with the Ducks. The Falcons posted a 15-6-1 record and reached the second round of the NCAA Division II Championships.

Oregon’s final spring match will be played against Western Oregon on May 17th at 5 p.m. The Wolves, a Division II team from Monmouth, went 9-4-6 this season. The exhibition will be held at the conclusion of UO’s Spring ID Camp. All matches are free to the public.
