Alleyne scored 28 points and grabbed 21 rebounds. It was her 12th rebound, coming with 1:04 left in the first half, that broke Chiney Ogwumike’s previous conference mark of 466 rebounds, set last season.
Alleyne’s 21 rebounds tied Ogwumike’s Pac-12 Tournament game record. Chrishae Rowe scored a team-high 29 points.
The 207 combined points by Oregon (15-15) and Washington State broke the previous tournament record of 179, set by Arizona and Oregon in 2011.
Both teams started out the game hot from the field. Oregon built a 30-28 lead with 11:29 left in the first half on 12-of-22 shooting while Washington State was 11-of-17 in that same span. The teams combined for nine made three-pointers in the first nine minutes. Rowe hit her first four shots of the game, including three three-pointers.
In a back-and-forth game, there were 11 ties and six lead changes in the first half. Alleyne had 13 points and 13 rebounds in the first half while Rowe had a team-high 18 points on 6-of-9 shooting with four three-pointers.
Oregon tied up the game quickly in the second half, at 59-59, with 18:29 left in the game. Washington State responded with a 10-3 run to take a seven-point lead, 69-62, with 13:54 remaining.
An Alleyne layup made it a 98-95 Washington State lead with under two minutes to play but Lia Galdeira answered with a big three-pointer to push the Cougars’ lead up to six points, at 101-95, with 1:31 remaining.
