EUGENE, Ore. - After sweeping Washington for the first time in program history, the Oregon softball team will play host to UC Santa Barbara for a Tuesday doubleheader starting at 3 p.m. at Howe Field.

The Ducks (30-4) and the Gauchos (21-12) will meet for the first time in two seasons, when the Ducks won, 10-2, on Feb. 10, 2012.

Oregon and UCSB have met 12 times in program history, with the Ducks holding a 7-5 record in the series.

While the Ducks are coming off their historic sweep of the Huskies, UCSB dropped a three-game series to Cal State Fullerton last weekend. The Gauchos took the first game, 6-1, but dropped the next two games, 10-0, and 11-7. UCSB has lost six of its last seven games after starting the season with a 20-6 record.

The Gauchos have played one other Pac-12 team, dropping two games to UCLA - 5-1 and 9-1 - last week.

Kristen Clark leads the team with a .443 batting average while Lauren Boser and Shelby Wisdom each have a team-high 20 RBIs. UCSB has a team .293 batting average and a 3.54 ERA.

As a team, the Ducks rank sixth in the nation in batting (.340) and eighth in ERA (1.52).
