EUGENE, Ore. – The first inning hasn’t been kind to Portland against Oregon this season. The Ducks, who scored six runs in their first game against the Pilots on Feb. 25, put nine runs on the board Tuesday en route to a 15-10 non-conference win at PK Park.

Mitchell Tolman had a pair of RBI singles in the inning while Kyle Garlick drove in two runs with a double and Mark Karaviotis (single) and Aaron Payne (triple) each picked up RBI with hits.
Portland (7-26) answered with four runs in the third, before UO scored two more in the bottom of that inning to push the lead to 14-4. Tolman scored the first run of the inning on a wild pitch and Austin Grebeck added a RBI single.
Tolman, Payne, Grebeck and Mark Karaviotis all had two hits for Oregon, while Tolman, Garlick and Chase all had two RBI.
