Other Position: 1997 Inductee, Track and Field (1963-1966)

The three-time All-American was vital to Oregon's back-to-back NCAA track & field titles in 1964 and '65 in addition to being the team's top national cross country finisher on two occasions. Named the university's top student-athlete in 1966, he finished 14th in the 1968 Olympic marathon and was edged for the bronze medal in Munich in 1972. Serving as a senior sports writer for Sports Illustrated, Moore wrote the screenplay for the Warner Brothers film on the life of Steve Prefontaine.
