The three-year starting point guard piloted Oregon to its best NCAA tournament finish since the Tall Firs' national championship, leading the Ducks to the regional finals in 1960. Averaging 12.5 points a game his final year while shooting better than 76 percent from the free throw line, he still owns the school's McArthur Court records for most free throws made (18) and attempted (19) in a single game vs. Oregon State. He concluded his career by earning all-Far West Classic, All-Coast and All-America honors following his senior season.
