Harry Jerome
Position: Hall of Fame Inductee
Other Position: 1993 Inductee, Track and Field (1962-1964)

An Olympian and world recordholder at the age of 20 with his collegiate career not yet begun, he expressed his dedication to his team by returning from a serious leg injury to bring Oregon more track and field glory in 1964. The threetime Olympic performer for Canada and two-time NCAA champion is the sprinter by whom all future Ducks will be measured.

He was second in the NCAA 100-yard dash in 1961 and repeated that finish and won the 220 title in helping the Ducks to an overwhelming national team title the next year, setting world marks each year. After surgery to repair his leg cost the entire 1963 year, he embarked on his remarkable comeback with the NCAA crown at 100 meters as a member of his second national champion squad and won the bronze medal at the distance in Tokyo that summer.
