Unger and Johnson Senior Bowl Bound
Friday, December 5, 8:45 a.m. PT

The Holiday, Sun, Las Vegas or Emerald Bowl won't be the final bowl game for at least two of Oregon's seniors. The Senior Bowl has invited Max Unger and Jeremiah Johnson to their 60th annual event Jan. 24, 2009 in Mobile, Ala.

The duo that has played such a major role in Oregon's record 3,334 rushing yards this season are only the 23rd and 24th players in school history to earn selection, and first since Terrence Whitehead and Demetrius Williams went following their senior season of 2005.

This from Steve Hale, president and CEO of the Senior Bowl

With over 800 NFL head coaches, assistant coaches, scouts and other front office personnel in attendance during the week each year, the Senior Bowl seeks to not only enhance a player's standing in the draft, but also allow him to develop relationships with those NFL coaches and scouts which will prove extremely beneficial throughout his professional football career.

Not surprising, 12 of the 24 Ducks to make the Senior Bowl have come since Mike Bellotti became head coach in 1995.
