All-American Boys
Wednesday, December 17, 10:00 a.m. PT

The fifth and final major All-America team was announced Wednesday and Nick Reed took home second-team honors according to Sporting News. That gives the nation's second-leading sackmaster (13.0 to date this season) a spot on three of the five, when you add in his first-team award from the Walter Camp Football Foundation and a third-team honor from the Associated Press, which was released Tuesday.

Outside of the big five, which also includes the AFCA and FWAA, Oregon's senior defensive end was selected as a second-team All-America by SI.com and Phil Steele.

Joining Reed on the SI.com second team was Max Unger, who Phil Steele rated as a fourth-team All-America. Steele put Patrick Chung on the third team.

One More Day
It's been very quiet around the Casanova Center the past two days as most of the coaches are out recruiting and the Ducks have been off to rest their bodies before the final push in preparation for the Holiday Bowl. The players will have a brief conditioning workout on Thursday and will get back to the business of practice on Friday. Since the Holiday Bowl is on a Tuesday, Friday is essentially a Monday in terms of how the team prepares, and that will also be the case next Friday in San Diego.
