Top 10 Ducks
Friday, January 9, 9:00 a.m. PT

With the BCS championship game in the books, the final college football rankings for the 2008-09 season have been compiled and released, and the Oregon Ducks were tabbed as a top 10 program in both major polls.

The coaches have UO at No. 9 in the USA Today poll, while the media picked the Ducks 10th in the AP top 25.

The final rankings are the program's highest since 2001, when Oregon was No. 2 in both polls, and mark the third time in school history that the Ducks have finished in the top 10 (2000, No. 7 AP, No. 9 USA Today).

The Pac-10 had three teams in the AP poll with USC at No. 3 and Oregon State at No. 18. The coaches considered the Trojans No. 2, Oregon State No. 19 and Cal 25th. Arizona received votes in both polls while the team they defeated in the Las Vegas Bowl - BYU - was ranked 21st by the coaches and 25th by the AP.
