2008 — The 11-game starter provided security on the left side of the offensive line as all-conference honoree was key to Oregon leading the league in rushing offense for the third year in a row ... Buoyed offensive success as Ducks set school records in rushing and scoring for second year in a row, and led Pac-10 in total offense for third-straight season ... Singled out for 2008 All-Bowl team by ESPN.com as he held Oklahoma State defensive ends without a QB sack ... Participated in a season-high 81 snaps at California ... Ranks as one of team’s strongest offensive linemen, topping position mates with 415-lb. bench press.

2007 — The decision to redshirt the 2006 junior college transfer proved to be a good one as he move into the starting lineup for 12 of 13 appearances ... Concluded year by earning spot as one of 75 players selected to the Sun Bowl’s all-time 75th-anniversary team ... Was named to the Pacific-10 Conference’s all-league second team in his first year of exposure to conference coaches, helping pave the way for Oregon’s school record-setting rushing attack, while aiding its pass protection scheme that finished fourth (tie) in the league in fewest QB sacks allowed (24) ... Won the Jimmy Rogers Jr. Most Valuable Lineman Award in the Brut Sun Bowl after shutting down South Florida’s Walter Camp All-American DE George Selvie in Ducks’ lopsided victory.

2006 — Experienced offensive line afforded him the luxury or redshirting the season, preserving two years of eligibility while he refined his skills to become more effective in the future.

BEFORE OREGON — The honorable mention All-American (J.C. Grid-Wire) ranked 34th in the country among junior college recruits by Rivals.com ... Helped pave way for the Wolverines to finish the regular season 12th in the state in total offense (430.7 avg.) ... The two-time all-Mid Empire Conference pick developed into a key component for a program that extended its winning streak to 37 games before dropping a late-season contest to Feather River College ... Sierra finished 25th nationally in the final J.C. Grid-Wire poll with a 9-2 record ... Saw time at quarterback, defensive end, tight end and defensive tackle at Center High ... Also earned three prep letters in track and field in addition to playing rugby.
