Concluded year by earning spot as one of 75 players selected to the Sun Bowl’s all-time 75th-anniversary team ... Was named to the Pacific-10 Conference’s all-league second team in his first year of exposure to conference coaches, helping pave the way for Oregon’s school record-setting rushing attack, while aiding its pass protection scheme that finished fourth (tie) in the league in fewest QB sacks allowed (24) ... Won the Jimmy Rogers Jr. Most Valuable Lineman Award in the Brut Sun Bowl after shutting down South Florida’s Walter Camp All-American DE George Selvie in Ducks’ lopsided victory.
