La Quinta, Calif. – Oregon sophomore Landon Banks matched a career-low with a 70 and was tied for 10th following the first two rounds of the Prestige at PGA West, played Monday at the par 72, 7,156-yard Greg Norman Course.
As a team, the Ducks were 14th of 15 squads after shooting rounds of 302-305 for a 607 total.
Banks, from Beaverton, Ore., was at even par 144 following rounds of 70-74. He was seven shots behind second round leader Jay Choe of UC Irvine, who was at 137 with rounds of 70-67.
In the team race, Stanford was first at 7-under 569, followed by UCLA (570), UC Irvine (574), Minnesota (580) and UC Davis (588) to round out the top five.
Colorado and Kansas were tied for sixth at 595, while three teams were deadlocked at 597 for eighth -- California, USC and Notre Dame.
Northern Colorado led the final five at 598, followed by San Diego (599), Illinois (601), Oregon (607) and Princeton (618).
Junior Zeke Reyna was the only other Duck in the top 50. He was tied for 32nd at 149 after rounds of 77-72.
Teams will play a final 18 holes Tuesday morning.
