OREGON Jumped out to a solid start in his first year at the Division I level but struggled due to a foot injury as the season wore on. Held out of the spring to give him a chance to rehab from injuries. Relies on his quickness and athleticism to get a good push on his offensive opponents. Returned in the off-season with a stronger sense of urgency and a renewed dedication in the weight room, which would make him tough to handle one-on-one. Possesses the potential to become an impact player should he return motivated in the fall, which could provide him much more that merely vying for a starting role.

2006 One of team’s top tacklers off the bench, Oregon’s fourth leading defender among defensive linemen accumulated season-high five tackles (4 unassisted) in Division I debut vs. Stanford. Also credited with one quarterback sack and a forced fumble against the Cardinal. But among bigger contributions was a blocked field goal vs. Stanford as well as a deflected PAT against Portland State. Took part in 10 games, including 85 snaps at Fresno State and 60 vs. Arizona.

JUNIOR COLLEGE/HIGH SCHOOL Chosen a first-team National Junior College Athletic Association All-American after accumulating 91 tackles (42 unassisted) a year ago, including seven quarterback sacks (61 yards) and an additional six tackles for loss (21 yards). Rated as the nation’s 45th-best junior college prospect by Rivals.com, the first team all-Southwest Junior College Football Conference honoree also deflected two passes for a team that finished sixth in the country in the final National Junior College Athletic Association poll. The Golden Norsemen capped their 9-3 campaign in 2005 with a 21-19 win over Mississippi Gulf Coast CC in the Dalton Defenders Bowl. The three-year starter at Stillwater High School completed his prep career with 60 tackles and six sacks his senior season.
