Two-time NCAA Championships qualifier in the long jump was a three-time Pac-10 scorer as a sophomore and a two-time league scorer in 2010. Also a key member of the 4x100 meter relay team. The two-sport star showed impressive potential in his short high jump career as a senior, and was also drafted to play baseball by the Atlanta Braves.

2010-11: Outdoors - Capped career with an appearance in the long jump at the NCAA West Preliminary meet. Came back from early season injury to finish as the runner-up at the Pac-10 Championships, going 24-9/7.54m in the long jump. Opening long jump effort was 24-6.5/7.48m at the Pepsi Team Invitational. Made season debut in the 100 meters at the Oregon Preview. Also ran the lead leg on the winning 4x100 meter relay team (41.04). Indoors - MPSF Champion in the long jump (24-6.5/7.48m). Impressive finale to the season with an indoor personal-best long jump of 24-9.75/7.56m at the UW Final Qualifier. That was the fourth-best jump in school history. Matched his previous indoor PR with a leap of 24-7.25/7.50m at the Tyson Invitational. Opened season with a second-place finish in the long jump (24-0.25/7.32m) at the UW Invitational. Season Bests: Outdoors - Long Jump - 24-9/7.54m, Pac-10 Championships, Tucson, Ariz. (5/13/11). Indoors - Long Jump - 24-7.25/7.50m (PR), Tyson Invitational, Fayetteville, Ark. (2/11/11).

2009-10: Outdoors - Lead leg for the 4x100 relay team in addition to his jumping duties. Terrific performance at the NCAA West Regional, where he leapt a seasonal-best 24-10.5 (7.58m) to finish ninth and qualify for his second straight NCAA Championships. Had a best jump of 24-1.75 (7.36m) at the NCAA meet. Placed fifth in the long jump at the Pac-10 Championships at 24-2.5/7.38m. Also ran the lead leg on Oregon's fourth-place 4x100 relay (40.36) and was 10th in the high jump (season-best 6-8.25/2.04m). Won the long jump versus UCLA (24-0.25). Ran the 100 meters at the Oregon Preview, Stanford Invitational and the Pepsi Team Invitational. Indoors - Won the long jump at the Texas A&M Challenge with a leap of 23-10. Took seventh in the long jump at the MPSF Championships (23-6.25). Season Bests: Outdoors - High Jump - 6-8.25/2.04m, Pac-10 Championships, Berkeley, Calif. (5/16/10); Long Jump - 24-10.5/7.58m, NCAA West Regional, Austin, Texas (5/27/10). Indoors - Long Jump - 23-10/7.26m, Texas A&M Challenge, College Station, Texas (2/13/10).

2008-09: Earned his first NCAA Championships bid with a third place PR in the long jump (25-0, wind-aided) at the NCAA West Regional. Secured a pair of fourth place finishes (high jump, long jump) at the Pac-10 Championships. Improved his PR in the long jump by nearly a foot over his freshman best. The team’s top high jumper and No. 2 long jumper. Indoors, competed in five meets and set an indoor PR in the long jump in a third-place finish at the MPSF Championships (24-7.25). Outdoors, opened at 24-0.25 to win the Oregon Preview and match his freshman season best, and then watched his PR jump to 24-1.25 in the UCLA dual meet, 24-11 (legal best) at the Pac-10 Championships and finally 25-0 at the NCAA West Regional. Was fourth in the long jump at the Pac-10 championships to help Oregon win its third straight league title. Good effort versus a strong field at the NCAA Championships produced his second-best jump of the season, 24-11.25 (w+2.3). Made the most of limited attempts in the high jump. Set a PR at 6-10.75 to finish second in the UCLA dual, and then matched that in a fourth-place finish at the Pac-10 Championships. Tied for seventh in his first NCAA West Regional with a clearance of 6-8.75. Also ran the lead leg of Oregon’s 4x100 meter relay team five times, including a seventh-place finish at the Pac-10 Championships (41.23), and ran the 100 meters four times. 2007-08: The team’s top freshman in the long jump and high jump. Competed in 11 meets combined during the indoor and outdoor seasons. Had first-place finishes in the high jump at the Oregon-UCLA dual meet (6-7.5) and the Oregon Twilight (6-6.75). Matched season-high with 6-7.5 clearance at the Oregon Relays, where he also posted his outdoor best in the long jump, 24-0.25 (second). Cleared seven meters four times in the long jump. Capped season with his first Pac-10 championships appearance, where he was 11th in the long jump (22-7.75) and 13th in the high jump (6-4.75). Indoors, set seasonal best in the long jump with a leap of 24-4.5 to finish seventh. Had a season-best clearance in the high jump of 6-9 at the UW Indoor Invite. Prep: As a senior in 2007, cleared a high jump personal best that won the Oregon 6A state title (6-10) and ranked second overall in the state season rankings. Before the state finale, began competing in the event as a senior and jumped in only five meets. After senior track season, competed in the Junior Olympics (sixth-tie, 6-6 3/4).
